Browser storage: keep your Telegram Ads work
· 2 min read
Campaigns and notes in Adtally stay on your device. This supports work without a server database, but another browser does not automatically receive them. Before clearing site data, distinguish working settings, temporary statistics and saved files.
What is saved and for how long
| Data | Storage and limits |
|---|---|
| Campaigns, assignments and tags | Local, separately for each account and demo mode |
| Journal and settings observations | Local, up to 500 entries and 2,000 ads |
| Saved analytics views | In the current browser for the account |
| Text report settings | Local, by account and mode |
| Report logo | In page memory; upload again after reloading |
| Live statistics cache | In the browser, no longer than the session; cleared on disconnect |
Local settings do not inherit the cache’s one-hour lifetime. Disconnecting clears temporary statistics rather than deleting campaigns and journal entries.
Reloading is different from switching devices
In normal browsing mode, local settings remain available after a reload. Another profile, browser or device has its own storage. Switching language does not move data to another computer.
Private mode and browser settings can restrict storage. If a save error appears, do not assume an entry was saved. Clearing site data can remove campaigns, tags, journal entries and settings; there is no server copy to restore.
Save important work before clearing data
- Export the ads table as CSV with campaigns and tags.
- Create a client XLSX for the relevant period: it includes campaigns and journal entries within the selected period and scope.
- Keep important hypotheses and settings separately, with dates, account and currency.
- Open the files and verify their contents before deleting browser data.
CSV and XLSX are reporting exports rather than complete workspace backups. They do not preserve all settings and observations, and there is no automatic campaign or journal restore from those files.
Separate storage from access
Connection tokens are held in an encrypted HttpOnly cookie; statistics and local notes are separate data. Closing a tab or deleting notes does not revoke a token.
Reset the token in Telegram Ads to revoke the underlying access. The secure connection guide explains the distinction. Use your own browser for daily work and keep important conclusions in verified files.
