Telegram Ads report: every ad in one table

· 2 min read

An account total tells you how much was spent. An ad-level report tells you where to look next. Adtally brings the ads returned by Telegram into one table with their status, period metrics, budget left and trend. Start with Ads in the demo before connecting an account.

Start with a question and a period

Choose the account and the date range first. To investigate expensive results, keep ads with the same objective: a channel join and a bot start are different actions. Use search, status filters and sorting to reduce the table to a sample you can explain.

Compare spend with actions and CPA rather than sorting on spend alone. A large ad may be efficient; a cheap ad may produce no actions. An unknown value is not a zero result. See how missing statistics are handled.

Read the ad card before making a change

Open an ad to inspect its text, link, current targeting and the distinction between period statistics and lifetime numbers. Do not compare lifetime actions with the spend of a selected week.

Targeting in the card is the ad’s current configuration. It does not reconstruct which audience actually received each impression in the past. A difference between targeting groups is a reason to investigate, not proof that the audience caused it.

Group a segment in Analysis

In Analysis, group the selected ads by placement, targeting, objective, status, link or text. Totals are calculated from the selected records; ratios are then calculated from those totals. Grouping answers different questions:

  • Placement: where is the segment spending its budget?
  • Link or text: do several ads share a destination or creative?
  • Objective: what does each distinct action cost?

For example, two ads with the same objective spend 40 and 60 EUR and produce 10 and 15 actions. Together they spend 100 EUR for 25 actions: CPA is 4 EUR. The metrics guide explains why averaging individual ratios can mislead.

Turn the table into a repeatable report

Save a view per account when you need the same filters again. Export the table to CSV and record the account, currency, exact UTC dates and filters with it. A file without that context is hard to compare later.

Before drawing a trend conclusion, use equal-length period comparison. For month-end spend, use monthly reconciliation: a table of currently available ads can omit deleted ads.
